Archer Classifications - recognising achievement

Archery classifications recognise an archer's ability and are Archery GB standard awards

They are awarded for scores achieved in recognised rounds both indoors and outdoors, the details of these rounds can be found on the website under useful information.

In outdoor competitions they are graded as follows; Third class, Second class, First class, Bowman, Master Bowman and Grand Master Bowman, plus Junior Bowman and Junior Master Bowman and open to all 4 bow styles.

In Indoor competition they range from A to H with A being the highest but only open to Recurve and Compound bow styles.

Classifications from Third Class to Bowman and all indoor classes can be awarded by the Club but Master Bowman and Grand Master Bowman must be shot at record status events and claimed from GNAS
